Bosnia-Herzegovina – Angelina Jolie said Friday she would like to meet with wartime rape victims and clarify misunderstandings that have led authorities in Sarajevo to deny her a permit to shoot her directorial film debut in Bosnia.

"My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film," the Hollywood actress said in a statement Friday.

Bosnian authorities have denied Jolie a permit to shoot her film amid protests by rape victims who object to its alleged subject matter.

The film — a wartime love story between a Bosnian woman and a Serbian man — was supposed to be shot partly in Bosnia in November. However, Jolie's producer says rumors spread that the film was about a rape victim who falls in love with her rapist. Jolie's Sarajevo producer, Edin Sarkic, said Friday the rumors were not true. He said he has resubmitted the application and sent the film's full script to Sarajevo's culture minister and expects to get a permit.

Culture Minister Gavrilo Grahovac revoked the original permit this week under pressure from the Association of Women, Victims of War that represents the several thousand mainly Muslim Bosniak women who were raped during Bosnia's 1992-95 war.

The head of the association, Bakira Hasecic, told The Associated Press that she has not read the script but "from what I heard, it is about a victim in a rape camp falling in love with her rapist, and that's not only impossible but the idea is insulting."

An online chain of posts involving the Twitter empress prompted California police to go to the aid of a woman who was having suicidal thoughts, the Associated Press reports.

San Jose Sgt. Ronnie Lopez says the department received a phone call early Friday morning from a person in Dallas who was tipped off to a supposed suicide attempt through the social-networking site.

Moore, a popular celebrity Twitterer, was involved in a discussion on the site that began when a user sent the actress what appeared to be suicidal notes.

Lopez says officers made immediate contact with a 48-year-old female resident of San Jose and transferred her to a local hospital for "psychiatric evaluation."

He says there were no injuries.

US actress Farrah Fawcett, Cancer for almost three years, Admitted to a Los Angeles hospital

US actress Farrah Fawcett, who has been battling cancer for almost three years, has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital, according to reports.

The 62-year-old Charlie's Angels star has been in an unidentified hospital since Thursday, People magazine said.

A spokesman for the actress has not yet commented on her condition.

Diagnosed with anal cancer in September 2006, Fawcett declared herself cancer-free four months later, only to have the disease return in May 2007.

She shared her experiences of battling the disease with footage she released to the media in 2008.

Her big TV break came in 1976 when producer Aaron Spelling cast her in Charlie's Angels as one of the crime-fighting heroines.

Separately, Los Angeles police say the star's 24-year-old son with actor Ryan O'Neal has been arrested on a drug charge just months after he and his father were charged with drug possession.

Redmond O'Neal was arrested on suspicion of bringing drugs into a jail and is currently being held on $25,000 (£17,000) bail.

He was previously arrested in September and charged with possession of methamphetamine while on probation for a previous drug conviction.

After discovering the idea of good cop versus bad cop, children are often savvy enough to play one parent against the other. For 5-year-old Catherine Rose, her job has been simplified — there is no bad cop! “I’m pretty much the good cop,” says Cheryl Hines, before admitting that her husband Paul Young shares the same role. Laughing that her little girl is “clearly very spoiled,” the actress explains she is looking to keep Catherine happy, which means wiping away her tears when she cries. “I coddle! Are you kidding me? I cry with her!” she tells Cookie magazine. “I’m the worst. I’m not the strictest mom in the world, but you only live once, right?”

Although Cheryl may be keen on keeping Catherine content, when it comes to bedtime, the 43-year-old mom is determined to keep her little girl on a schedule. Los Angeles (E! Online) – We were wondering how long it was going to take for a Bridget Moynahan response to Gisele Bündchen lounging around naked in Vanity Fair, talking about how it feels like she birthed her husband's ex-lover's son herself:

"I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent," the Brazilian model said in the mag.

And two days later, we have our answer. Team Moynahan has retaliated via Page Six, where a "close pal" talks some serious trash...

"If Gisele loved Bridget's child like he was '100 percent her own,' then she would not talk about him in the press. Discretion and respect are not either of Gisele or Tom's virtues, as was evidenced even when the child was still unborn and they publicly flaunted their relationship without any discretion whatsoever."

Fair enough, that does seem pretty uncool of them.

"Don't you think Jack [Bridget and Tom's son] will grow up and read her comments and find them disrespectful to him and his mother?" the friend continues to rant. "Is she is so desperate for attention that she can't find anything more productive to talk about other than Bridget's child?"

Ouch! It's pretty hard to recover from being called an attention whore. Plus, Gisele and Tom were very private about their wedding, so that's not entirely accurate. And so the source resorts to making fun of Gisele's English (and/or lack of maternal instinct): "Hey Gisele—real mothers don't call their kids 'it.' "

Hannah Montana: The Movie has all the makings of a Disney flick: a heroine kids can relate to, track after track of danceable music, and friends from the animal kingdom. In this case, it has ostriches. At a recently held press conference, Miley Cyrus and Jason Earles talked about some embarrassing moments behind the scenes, one of which was the actor’s brush with the birds.

For Hannah Montana: The Movie, Jason Earles has a scene with a rather irritable feathered cast member, who ended up biting him in the face. Describing the ostrich as “a 6-foot-tall prehistoric bird with a brain the size of a bottle cap,” the actor recalled how he had to deal with the animal for the first time.

Earles said that the trainer handed him the bird on a leash and then told him, “Don’t pull on that [the leash]. He doesn’t like that.” Afterwards, all that the actor had on his mind was “Please, God, please don’t let him bite me ... and the first thing he did was bite me right here,” Earles explained, pointing to his nose.

The ostrich might have stolen the spotlight right there, since the scene was actually included in the movie itself. Hearing the story, Miley Cyrus exclaimed “And they used the part when you got bit!”

Shanna Moakler denies cheating on Travis Barker during crash recovery

A day after splitting with rocker Travis Barker, model/reality TV star Shanna Moakler has gone to the Web to deny claims she was unfaithful while her beau was recovering from a horrific plane crash.

In a post on her MySpace Celebrity page, Moakler smacks Barker and his friends for claiming she had a fling with actor Gerard Butler.

"Travis and I were very much together in September when the (plane crash) happened. Not only did I fly to Georgia, I stayed by his side the entire stay and also for the bus ride home to L.A. I think any human being with a heart . . . would do the same."

Moakler says that even as she was helping her ex recover from the crash, she came across numerous romantic e-mails with many other women, some famous, some I personally knew, all heart breaking."

To the women involved, Moakler writes: "You know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourself."

Moakler also writes that other e-mails from Barker's employees were sent to gossip sites like TMZ that bashed her character as a woman and as a parent, something she wouldn't do to Barker.

"I have never verbally bashed him as a father," continues the post. "I didn't even bash him after the infamous blogs years ago, I have never went on different social networks and made campaigns of hate and slander. In fact MANY times I have had to bite my tongue and try to be the bigger person."

Natasha Richardson, the British actress who fell during a ski lesson on Monday and later in the day lapsed into a coma, died of a large blood clot compressing her brain, New York City's medical examiner said yesterday.
The bleeding that led to the clot was caused by "blunt impact to the head," according to the official report, which also labeled the death an accident.

The formal name for the condition is "epidural hematoma." It is usually the result of bleeding from arteries torn when the skull is struck hard, often on the temple where the bone is thinnest.

Arterial hemorrhage inside the skull is a potential catastrophe. Each heartbeat pumps blood under high pressure into a confined space, compressing the brain tissue.

"It is the most feared, treatable problem in neurosurgery," said Gail Rosseau, chief of surgery at the Neurologic and Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago. "These are the patients who 'talk and die.' "

If the condition is recognized in time, a surgeon can drill a hole through the skull or cut away a piece of it, remove the clot and relieve the pressure. This often results in complete recovery.

Although many details of Richardson's accident have not been made public, she apparently demonstrated a "lucid interval" typical of many traumatic epidural hematomas -- a period soon after the impact when the victim is alert and feels well that is followed by a rapid decline into unconsciousness.
