Bridget Moynahan Reacts to

Los Angeles (E! Online) – We were wondering how long it was going to take for a Bridget Moynahan response to Gisele Bündchen lounging around naked in Vanity Fair, talking about how it feels like she birthed her husband's ex-lover's son herself:

"I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent," the Brazilian model said in the mag.

And two days later, we have our answer. Team Moynahan has retaliated via Page Six, where a "close pal" talks some serious trash...

"If Gisele loved Bridget's child like he was '100 percent her own,' then she would not talk about him in the press. Discretion and respect are not either of Gisele or Tom's virtues, as was evidenced even when the child was still unborn and they publicly flaunted their relationship without any discretion whatsoever."

Fair enough, that does seem pretty uncool of them.

"Don't you think Jack [Bridget and Tom's son] will grow up and read her comments and find them disrespectful to him and his mother?" the friend continues to rant. "Is she is so desperate for attention that she can't find anything more productive to talk about other than Bridget's child?"

Ouch! It's pretty hard to recover from being called an attention whore. Plus, Gisele and Tom were very private about their wedding, so that's not entirely accurate. And so the source resorts to making fun of Gisele's English (and/or lack of maternal instinct): "Hey Gisele—real mothers don't call their kids 'it.' "

We can just imagine Gisele's response:

Butt out, "close pal"! Kiss my ass! (Yeah, pretty bad, but you get the point.)

Kellie Pickler will return to the "American Idol" stage

Tuesday, as Paula Abdul revealed Wednesday night, the top eight "American Idol" contestants will perform songs from the year they were born. Hope you like '80s music.

Then, the night after the top 8 Cyndi Lauper it up, Season 5 finalist Kellie Pickler will return to the "American Idol" stage to serenade the contestants with her new ode to girl-power, “Best Days of Your Life.”

Since her time on "Idol" three years ago, Kellie Pickler has been charming the country community with her super-hot-girl-next-door vibe and charmingly ditzy one-liners. Her second album recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album Chart. But the real question is, why has nobody thought to make a reality show about this girl yet?

Kellie co-wrote “Best Days of Your Life” — the song she will perform on "Idol" — with fellow fair-haired country star Taylor Swift. In the fun and flirty music video for the tune, Taylor plays guitar and sings backup. And their collaborations don't stop there. Kellie is getting set to open for Taylor on her 52-city Fearless Tour 2009.

Melissa Rycroft , Pose for Playboy

"Dancing with the Stars" cutie Melissa Rycroft won the hearts of America, if not her "Bachelor," but did the southern gal also catch the eye of Hugh Hefner and get an offer to pose for Playboy?

This rumor can hop away with the rest of Hef's bunnies -- it's false! After Tuesday night's performance on "Dancing," Melissa told "Extra" the story about offers from the Playboy Mansion was not true. "Completely fabricated," Rycroft confirmed.

Newly booted dancer Holly Madison is no stranger to centerfolds -- the former "Girl Next Door" and Playboy employee dished she'd give Rycroft the thumbs-up to pose for the magazine! "I think she's absolutely gorgeous," Holly said.

Kristen Stewart's Boyfriend Trend

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Seeing Kristen Stewart and her visiting boyfriend, Michael Angarano, walking hand in hand near the New Moon set in Vancouver might be a little disheartening to fans hoping for a real-life romance between the actress and her costar Robert Pattinson.

Yet despite such wishful thinking on the part of many Twi-hards, Stewart insists it hasn't affected her relationship with Angarano, telling USA Today that he's "totally not a threatened guy."

Of course, the nonexistence of an offscreen love affair between the Twilight stars does keep the fantasy alive for millions of girls longing to one day find themselves in the comfort of Edward's, er, Pattinson's embrace.

"They covet him," says Stewart. "I think half of them are so jealous that they hate me."

Miley Cyrus album Tragedy

First-week results for the country-leaning film soundtrack to "Hannah Montana: The Movie" reverses a trend. The motion picture is due to hit theaters April 10.

Only a year ago, Cyrus' 3-D concert film set records, and scalpers were charging thousands for tickets to her live concerts. Her last three major releases debuted at the top of the charts. But the new record's sales were a fraction of her previous studio albums' first-week sales.

The album is the soundtrack to the singer-actress' upcoming "Hannah Montana: The Movie," which opens April 10 and takes the Disney Channel series' character from her home in Malibu to her family's roots in Tennessee. The accompanying album draws from the movie's setting, showcasing Cyrus as more of a country performer alongside songs by country stars Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift.

Walt Disney Records' senior vice president and general manager, Jim Weatherson, said the soundtrack was in line with projections, considering that it was released two weeks before the movie will hit theaters.

"The movie promotion didn't start in earnest until essentially this past weekend," he said. "We felt that with the success that 'The Climb' was having at radio, we had an opportunity to sell records in front."

Cyrus performed at the recent Grammy Awards with Swift, and it is perhaps Swift's career that is serving as a model for Cyrus' move beyond tween pop. Other young female country singers, including Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler, are some of the genre's fastest-rising stars.

Cyrus, whose father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is a country music singer as well as an actor who plays her father on the Disney series, is scheduled to appear Sunday on the Academy of Country Music Awards to sing her country-pop single "The Climb."

"The Climb" may indicate that Cyrus could see some success as a country artist. The song has sold 583,000 digital downloads since its release in early March. It's her first solo single to breach the top 50 on Billboard's country songs chart, and it has given Cyrus her highest position on the U.S. pop chart, where it debuted at No. 6 and currently rests at No. 11.

Repositioning Cyrus as a country singer is not Disney's intention, Weatherson said.

"I think Miley has a heck of a career right now, whichever direction she wants to take it," he said. "All of her stuff to date, including this song, are pop-driven. I think you'll see that moving forward. This is just one of those songs everyone can relate to, and country radio gravitated toward it."

Outpacing the soundtrack to "Hanna Montana: The Movie" was the 30th volume in the compilation series "NOW That's What I Call Music!" which opened with 146,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Cyrus' record landed at No. 2, with 139,000 copies.

She sold 371,000 copies during the first week of release of her summer 2008 album "Breakout," the first album she released under her name instead of "Hannah Montana." The soundtrack's sales results also reverse the upward trend of the previous albums under the "Hannah Montana" name. A 2006 soundtrack to the Disney Channel series sold 281,000 copies in its first week, and a double-disc effort in 2007 bowed with 326,000 copies.

Natasha Richardson

Actor
Born:
May 11, 1963 in London, England, UK
Death:
March 18, 2009

The daughter of British actress Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson, Natasha Richardson was named for the heroine in Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. Richardson made her film bow at age four, playing one of her own mother's bridesmaids in Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), which was directed by her father. Trained at the Central School for Speech and Drama, Richardson did her first professional stage work at the Leeds Playhouse in 1983 then went on to specialize in Shakespeare (like virtually everyone else of Redgrave lineage) at the Old Vic. In the company of her mother Vanessa and her Aunt Lynn, Richardson made an excellent impression in a 1985 staging of Chekhov's The Three Sisters; the following year, she won the London Theatre Critics Award for Most Promising Newcomer. The honor was a trifle belated, as Richardson had been acting on stage for three years and costarring in films since 1984's Every Picture Tells a Story. Her film roles have ranged from passive to aggressive but have always been distinctive. Among Richardson's most memorable film assignments have been A Month in the Country (1987), The Handmaid's Tale (1990), Widows Peak (1994), and the successful 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. She has done her most celebrated work on the stage, appearing in a 1993 performance in a PBS restaging of Suddenly Last Summer; an acclaimed Broadway revival of Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie that same year (in which she starred opposite then-lover and eventual husband Liam Neeson); an incredibly popular 1998 Broadway revival of Cabaret, in which she gave a Tony-winning portrayal of Sally Bowles; and the 1999 Broadway production of Patrick Marber's Closer, in which she starred alongside Rupert Graves, Anna Friel, and Ciaran Hinds. Natasha Richardson Died From Clot That Compressed Brain

Natasha Richardson, the British actress who fell during a ski lesson on Monday and later in the day lapsed into a coma, died of a large blood clot compressing her brain, New York City's medical examiner said yesterday.
The bleeding that led to the clot was caused by "blunt impact to the head," according to the official report, which also labeled the death an accident.

The formal name for the condition is "epidural hematoma." It is usually the result of bleeding from arteries torn when the skull is struck hard, often on the temple where the bone is thinnest.

Arterial hemorrhage inside the skull is a potential catastrophe. Each heartbeat pumps blood under high pressure into a confined space, compressing the brain tissue.

"It is the most feared, treatable problem in neurosurgery," said Gail Rosseau, chief of surgery at the Neurologic and Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago. "These are the patients who 'talk and die.' "

If the condition is recognized in time, a surgeon can drill a hole through the skull or cut away a piece of it, remove the clot and relieve the pressure. This often results in complete recovery.

Although many details of Richardson's accident have not been made public, she apparently demonstrated a "lucid interval" typical of many traumatic epidural hematomas -- a period soon after the impact when the victim is alert and feels well that is followed by a rapid decline into unconsciousness.
