Aung San Suu Kyi's Interview! - Video

Aung San Suu Kyi
............................................................
About Aung San Suu Kyi - Profile
............................................................

Born June 19, 1945, Rangoon, Burma [now Yangon, Myanmar] Myanmar opposition leader, daughter of Aung San (a martyred national hero of independent Burma) and Khin Kyi (a prominent Burmese diplomat), and winner in 1991 of the Nobel Prize for Peace.

Aung San Suu Kyi derives her name from three relatives: "Aung San" from her father, "Suu" from her paternal grandmother and "Kyi" from her mother Khin Kyi. She is frequently called 'Daw Aung San Suu Kyi'. Daw is not part of her name, but is an honorific, similar to madame, for older, revered women, literally meaning "aunt". She is also often referred to as 'Daw Suu' by the Burmese, and as 'Dr. Suu Kyi', 'Ms. Suu Kyi', or 'Mrs. Suu Kyi' by the foreign media. Her name is pronounced Awn Sahn SueChee.

Aung San Suu Kyi remained under house arrest in Burma for almost 15 of the 21 years from July 20, 1989 until her release on 13 November 2010. On the evening of 13 November 2010, she was released from house arrest.

President Barack Obama 2009 Inauguration and Address - Video

Barak Obama
..........................................................
About Barack Obama - Profile
.........................................................

Barack Obama was born to a white American mother, Ann Dunham, and a black Kenyan father, Barack Obama Sr., who were both young college students at the University of Hawaii. When his father left for Harvard, she and Barack stayed behind, and his father ultimately returned alone to Kenya, where he worked as a government economist. Barack's mother remarried an Indonesian oil manager and moved to Jakarta when Barack was six. He later recounted Indonesia as simultaneously lush and a harrowing exposure to tropical poverty. He returned to Hawaii, where he was brought up largely by his grandparents. The family lived in a small apartment - his grandfather was a furniture salesman and an unsuccessful insurance agent and his grandmother worked in a bank - but Barack managed to get into Punahou School, Hawaii's top prep academy. His father wrote to him regularly but, though he traveled around the world on official business for Kenya, he visited only once, when Barack was ten.

Tang Wei's Super Hit Fiml "Lust, Caution"

About Tang Wei
Born to an actress and a painter in Zhejiang, China, in 1979, actress Wei Tang eventually attended the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, where she studied directing. Planning to work as a writer as well as a director, Tang also had a passion for acting, which she was able to put to the test when director Ang Lee chose her out of over 10,000 auditioning hopefuls to play the starring role of Wang Jiazhi in his film Lust, Caution, about the Japanese occupation of China during World War II. The newcomer had never acted onscreen before, but her performance was highly critically praised.
